Leadership Changes at the Ringier Sports Media Group

Following the successful founding and development phase of the Ringier Sports Media Group (RSMG), changes are being made to the group’s leadership. Robin Lingg is handing over the chairmanship of the Board of Directors to Marc Walder, CEO of Ringier AG. At the same time, Tim Kollmann is taking on the role of Group CEO, while Stilian Shishkov transitions to the Board of Directors.

Since its founding four years ago, RSMG has grown into the digital market leader with more than 23 million users across seven countries. The new leadership structure marks the end of the founding phase and the transition to further international scaling:

Marc Walder (Chairman of the Board of Directors): The CEO of Ringier AG will steer RSMG as the central third pillar of the group’s strategy. His focus will be on global strategic direction and connecting journalistic excellence with digital scaling.

Tim Kollmann (CEO): COO since the company’s founding, Kollmann now assumes full operational responsibility. He brings years of experience in scaling international business models and has been closely involved in building and expanding RSMG. Going forward, he will focus on deeper integration of the seven media brands, developing new revenue streams, and transforming the brands into distinctive sports fan destinations.

Stilian Shishkov (Board of Directors): Senior partner at RSMG, founder of Sportal Media Group in Bulgaria, and technology pioneer behind Sportal365 brings his extensive experience and network to the RSMG Board of Directors. He continues his active role as shareholder in GSP (Romania) and managing director and shareholder in Sportal (Bulgaria).

Robin Lingg, outgoing Chairman of the Board of Directors of RSMG: “Founding RSMG four years ago was an important strategic step for Ringier. We have proven that our vision of uniting leading brands with a global technology platform works. Now is the ideal moment to hand over the reins. Tim Kollmann, Stilian Shishkov, and Marc Walder combine deep expertise in sports, media, technology, and operational excellence to lead RSMG into the future.”
