Pulse Sports, a Ringier Sports Media Group (RSMG) portfolio brand, today announced the launch of its website, pulsesports.co.ke, in Kenya. The platform will give sports fans in Kenya access to a state-of- the-art digital product,  featuring news, commentary, analysis, interviews, statistics, live results, and videos covering both Kenyan and international sports.

Beyond football, Pulsesports.co.ke will include news and features  on all popular sports, including motorsports, basketball, rugby, athletics, boxing, volleyball and more. The company has also recruited some of Kenya’s leading  sports journalists to join the team, from renowned media outlets such as the GOAL.com, Mozzartsport, and Sports Brief.

The Pulse Sports website is built upon the internationally leading sports media content management system Sportal365 developed by Sportal Media Group as part of RSMG, and features a media-rich interface designed to raise the bar for online sports news in Kenya. It includes high-quality photos and videos, and live scores and tables for the Kenyan Premier League and all major international football leagues. Pulse Sports ambition is to become the leading online sports media platform in Kenya.

James Torvaney, CEO of Pulse Sports Africa, explained:  “Kenyans are some of the most passionate sports fans on the African continent, and with the launch of Pulse Sports Kenya  we want to give them the same top quality standard of sports coverage that they could expect from media houses anywhere else in the world. We want to ensure that we build a platform that is tailored specifically for these fans – our strategy is built around providing top quality coverage of all Kenyan teams and athletes, championing domestic and grassroots sports, and covering international sports from a uniquely Kenyan angle.”

RSMG, which also includes 8 further sports media platforms across Europe, is significantly expanding its presence in Sub-Saharan Africa, with the ambition to build a leading sports media platform on the continent.
